CPSIA Compliance

The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) imposed testing requirements and new acceptable levels for several substances common in most consumer products, especially those designed for children, ages 0-12. The CPSIA is a United States Government law restricting levels of hazardous materials in products imported or made within the US, especially those for children.

REACH

REACH is a European Union regulation (1907/2006/EC) restricting the levels of specific chemical substances in all imported goods. Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is one of the most comprehensive and far-reaching pieces of environmental legislation to come out of the European Union.

RoHS

Food Testing

From contaminants to genetically modified organisms, food companies are confronted by a host of food safety and quality challenges in today’s global marketplace. Testing at the source allows you to gain time and cost advantages.

Phthalates Testing

In response to consumer health concerns, phthalates are being phased out of toys in the United States CPSIA, Canada, and the European Union REACH. At high level of exposure, the toxicological properties of phthalates present a risk of cancer and can lead to adult infertility.

ASTM F963 Toy Safety Testing

The safety of toys and recreational items has been in the spotlight ever since the discovery of lead in children's toys resulted in massive product recalls in 2007. Every year, as new research comes to light about the health impact of various substances used in the production of toys, the list of banned and restricted substances keeps growing.
